To edit an object effect settings, simply click on the object in the preview window or in the timeline, then click on the Effect tab at the Selected object properties tab.
Effect properties window is divided into two sections. The upper section is showing the properties for an Entry effect and the bottom section for an Exit effect.
Entry Effect
Hide at start Click to choose whether you want the object to show after x second, or completely visible waiting until another object action to activate it.
Effect type Click to choose an effect. You will notice in the popup menu that effects are grouped into three categories:
Depending on which effect category you selected, the appropriate effect settings will be available underneath the effect type list.
For General effects, you will see a control like what is showing below.
Duration The effect duration.
For Text effects, you will see a control like what is showing below.
Text effect duration is automatically calculated from several factors such as: cascade delay, speed and the number of characters. Thus you cannot directly type in the duration nor drag the entry/exit effect handle in the Timeline window.
Cascade Delay A delay which is introduced between character. Eg: Cascade Delay of 0.1 sec means the second character will start animation 0.1 sec after the first character and so on.
Speed Speed is a number between 0-100 with 100 to be the fastest.

For Pan/Zoom/Rotate effect, you will see a control like what is showing below.

Exit Effect
Hide after Click to choose whether you want to hide the object after several seconds or you want the object to show forever as long as the current scene is playing.

Click to choose an effect. You will notice in the popup menu that effects are grouped into three categories:
